October assessment learner response

 1.When you are understanding what the question in asking, you write a detailed response using some evidence from the product.

You must read the questions carefully so you don't waste time answering the wrong question.you also need to revise all media words ( GLO words and glossary) so you can understand questions.TIMING- you must not miss out the longer, more mark questions.

The advert shows the place where the advert is set in a poor village.This connotes that the boy need your help because in the setting has the hottest whether that no one would survive if the consumers would help the boy because a child shouldn't die in a early age. The costume connotes that the boy doesn't have any more clothes to wear because the boy doesn't have enough money to buy anything this shows that people need necessities as well as water.Another thing the setting connotes that the background shows the walls are dirty that the village is unhygienic.This effect the audience badly because the boy is dying and this proves that people in poor villages die because of dehydration, diarrhea and malnourishment every year.

The advert shows that young children die every day because they don't have supplies to stay healthy. The water aid charity uses children in their adverts to make the consumers to give money to the charity to provide necessities to save the children lives. The setting suggest that the boy can't find fresh water they have to find dirty water that it killing the children.The water aid advert wants everyone to donate money to save everyone from dying with diarrhea,malnourishment and dehydration.

Camerawork and editing analysis

Camera shots


1) Pick three camera shots from the scene and explain what type of shot it is and what meanings or effect they have on the audience.

2) Pick one camera angle that is used in the scene and explain the effect it has on the audience. 

3) Pick one aspect of camera movement in the clip. Identify the type of camera movement and write about why the director chose to use that camera movement in the scene and what effect it has on the audience.

4) Pick one aspect of editing in the clip and write about what it tells the audience.


Establishing shot : This shot suggest that the doctor and the alien is in a lab talking to each other with about the killing the alien. This shot connotes that the guards are shooting outside of the building.
Medium Close up shot: This shot suggest that the Oods's eye is turning red becoming more dangerous.
This shot connotes that Ood's are together being born. Extreme Close up: This shot connotes that the countdown is going to be dangerous for the Oods. This shot connotes that the Ood's brain is glowing up and being rebirthed.

2) What TV genre is Stranger Things? You can use the IMDB website to help you with this. 

3) Choose THREE aspects of mise-en-scene (e.g. costume, lighting, setting) and write a short paragraph for each about the denotation and connotation in the opening 8 minutes of Stranger Things. What is being communicated to the audience? How does the mise-en-scene help to communicate the genre of Stranger Things?



Props:
The Props connotes that the there was a mythical board game with statues what the actors where playing. The prop shows that the board game was from 1980s. The prop would be made extatically like an 1980s board game. The prop connotes that the game would be a strategy for young kids to socialize in the 1980s.The props in the house had an old fashioned TV and telephones in back then. The pizza box has a old logo suggests the it was an old fashioned pizza box. Costume: The costume connotes that the children wore bright colors to stand out the 1980s where back in the time. Setting :The setting connotes that the house and the town wasn't modern and it was based in the 1980s with their style of the house where the children was playing in the room.
